Over Labor Day I traveled to Portland. On Friday, I got to meet Colin and hang out with Nanie! Robert and I also went to the Chinese Gardens. Saturday morning Jenny, Robert, and I got up and drove the 3+ hours to Bend in Central Oregon. The landscape really changed along the way. The Deschutes River runs through Bend, and there are many neat shops in the downtown. Sunday morning we went rafting on the very cold river! We also drove along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway.
